- Community
Information Program
Public outreach programs include, Winter Weather Preparedness,
National Public Works Week celebrations the 3rd week of
May, SLO High School Rotary Career Day.
- Community Volunteer Program
Service organizations, church groups, neighborhoods, clubs, etc., can
participate in various facility improvement activities.
- Lend-A-Hand Program
A program to allow residents and businesses to become actively
involved in City activities by performing maintenance duties or
provide service to the community.
- Storm Drain Mapping Program
Global Positioning System used to locate, inventory, and document the
storm drainage system throughout the city. Data is used for improving
substandard or failed structures within the system.

- Sidewalk
Repair Projects
New installations, the completion of sidewalk continuity in
residential and commercial neighborhoods, concentrating around
schools, parks and churches. Hazardous replacement program to meet the
goals for safe and smooth sidewalks.
- Storm Drain Replacement Projects
An annually budgeted program for new installations for replacement of substandard or failing drainage structures.
- Facilities
and Landscape Maintenance Projects
Capital Improvement Projects for Buildings, Parks, and other City owned property
following adopted master plans, and maintenance schedules.
