The new Winter/Spring 2010 Activity Guide is now available!

The City of San Luis Obispo’s pool, the SLO Swim Center, is located in Sinsheimer Park at the end of Southwood Drive (902 Southwood Drive). This is a 50 meter by 25 yard outdoor pool. The temperature controls are calibrated in an effort to keep the water between 79 and 81 degrees. In addition to the main pool, a therapy/tot pool is available year-round, with depths ranging from 1' to 4'. The temperature of the therapy pool is maintained at 88 degrees. The facility is equipped to meet all ADA requirements and staffed by certified and trained rescue personnel.

The goal for the aquatics program is to enhance the emotional, physical, and social well-being of the community by offering a variety of aquatic opportunities in which to participate. To achieve this goal, programs may change to better meet the needs of the residents and users. Safety is, and always will be the primary factor in determining the specifics of any activity offered at the SLO Swim Center.

For more information on Parks and Recreation Aquatics Programs, call the SLO Swim Center at 781-7288.
