2018-19 PCC’s Cultural GIA Application OPEN

The Promotional Coordinating Committee (PCC) would like to announce, the application period for the 2018-19 Cultural Grants-In-Aid Program is open. The Grants-In-Aid funding is awarded annually by the City of San Luis Obispo and administered by the PCC. Under the program, grants are made available through a competitive process to local nonprofit organizations that promote programs and activities of cultural & recreational benefit to City residents or enhancement of tourism promotion for the City of San Luis Obispo.

To be considered for a grant, organizations must submit applications no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2018. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted. 

Applying organizations are required to attend mandatory grant application meeting on Wednesday February 7, 2018 at 4:30 pm at the Ludwick Community Center. Directly following the mandatory information meeting, the PCC will hold a resource fair for grant applicants to learn more about the various ways to leverage grant offerings and requirements for hosting an event in the City of SLO.

NEW in 2018-19!! New conditions of the 2018-19 GIA program include:  

  • Organizations are limited to one applications submission per grant cycle.  
  • Qualified expenses for grant funding expanded to include: limited contracted services such as public relations, video production expenses, social media expenses directly relating to the event, expenses relating to enhancements for digital newsletters or email campaigns, and web design services. The applying organization must provide documentation that expenses for these services are directly and exclusively related to the event or program in which funding is requested. 
  • Elimination of the Sustainable Funding Program (sustainability track).
